The Guns, thank God, the Guns!

Hello all:

I have successfully negotiated the purchase of a Quad 20mm Polsten.  I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Marc Young and his family.

The gun now rests in Bristol awaiting shipping to Canada.  I've got a few more days here reducing it to 'shipping' shape and crating the accessories.

Counting the example at the Canadian War Museum this will be only the second one in Canada.  Expect to see it on the show circuit next summer!

Cheers!  Mike

A update nearly a year later the gun is onboard the Atlantic Conveyor (ACL ship) and will arrive in Canada (Halifax) next week... nearly home!

PS-Mike and crew have put a lot of work into tidying up the unit, which made its public debut this summer 2007. Still lots to go but its great to see an exmaple of this bit of Canadian heritage and history back in Canada.
