Here are some photos of my C60X, just picked it up from a neighbouring farm 2 weeks ago.
The truck was orded as chassis and running gear only for the Australian army as an armoured fighting vehicle. This plan was scrapped in favour of a 4x4 version and the chassis were sent to a Holden carriage factory where a standard No 13 cab was fitted. My truck was then issued to the RAAF as an aircraft refiling tanker 900gal.
The tank was removed in the mid 60s and a locally made tray was fitted. I plan on restoring with a tray but hope to find an original tank if possible. The truck was repainted yellow for safety in 1946 (good idea not to lean against 900gal of 100 octane Avgas having a cigarette) and is still in the 1946 paint. I plan to get the electrics sorted first then get the body in order over the next few years.
